Buying a Home
Were you treated unfairly or discriminated against when you were buying a home?
You may have been a victim of predatory lending if you were given a loan that you did not have the ability to repay, if you were charged excessive interest or fees, or if you were deceived or taken advantage of in some other way by your lender. If you feel that you were treated differently during the home buying process because of your race, age, nationality, religion, disability or sex, you may have been a victim of discrimination.
Reinvestment Partners advocates for fair and equal treatment of home buyers. We need your story to help us accomplish this goal. Share your story and someone from our fair lending team will contact you. We will not share your information without your permission.
Loan Modifications
Were you discriminated against or treated unfairly when you were trying to modify your loan?
As we continue to deal with the housing crisis and the number of foreclosures continues to rise, it is clear that the banks and servicers are not doing enough to modify loans. At Reinvestment Partners, we continue to pressure the banks to do more to modify loans and work with housing counselors. Our greatest tool in this fight is your stories. Whether you are a struggling homeowner or a housing counselor, please share your story and someone from our fair lending team will contact you. We will not share your information without your permission. Your stories help us to illustrate to the banks how important it is for them to do more.
Mortgage Rescue Scams
Did you pay money to someone to help you modify your loan or save you from foreclosure? Did this person ask you to sign papers you didn’t understand, sign over the deed to your home, redirect your mortgage payments, or stop making payments altogether? You may have been a victim of a mortgage rescue scam.
Reinvestment Partners is concerned about scammers taking advantage of people desperate to save their homes. If you think you have been a victim of a mortgage rescue scam, share your story and someone from our fair lending team will contact you. We will not share your information without your permission.
